Derrick Baker, an 18-year-old, was shot and killed on August 18, 2012, in the Roseland neighborhood on Chicago's Far South Side. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on the 11500 block of South Wentworth Avenue. When police arrived, Baker was found with a gunshot wound, and despite efforts to provide medical attention, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
