On a Sunday in London, Kentucky, the life of 62-year-old Donnie Stone was tragically cut short by an act of gun violence on October 9, 2016. The male victim's death prompted an investigation by the London Police Department, which quickly zeroed in on a person of interest.
Within approximately 20 hours of the fatal incident, authorities had located their subject. John Stricker, a 35-year-old man also from London, was found at a residence in the neighboring Clay County.
His apprehension was the result of a coordinated effort between the Kentucky State Police and the Clay County Sheriff's Department.
Following his capture, the London Police Department charged Stricker with the murder of Donnie Stone, bringing a swift, albeit somber, development to the investigation into the untimely death of the local man.
