In the late summer of 2018, the community of Radcliff, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of 50-year-old Sherry Head. Concerns for her well-being arose when she did not report for work, prompting a request for a welfare check at her home on Magnolia Drive. On the evening of Tuesday, September 18th, officers from the Radcliff Police Department arrived at the residence to conduct the check.
Upon entering the home, law enforcement discovered a heartbreaking scene.
Sherry Head and her 44-year-old husband, Curtis Head, were found deceased in their living room. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The initial investigation by the Radcliff Police Department suggested that the couple had been deceased for a couple of days before their discovery.
Following autopsies, the authorities announced that the preliminary evidence pointed towards a murder-suicide as the likely cause of the tragic event. While the investigation continued, no arrests were made as the incident was being treated as a contained event with no outstanding suspects. Sherry, a woman remembered by those who knew her, was born on December 23, 1967. Her passing left behind a grieving family, including her two sons and four grandchildren.
