In the early morning hours of February 19, 2021, the life of Jackie Lee Crowley, a 28-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Responding to a call of a shooting at approximately 12:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived at the 3700 block of East Wheatmore Drive in the Jacobs neighborhood to find Mr.
Crowley suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency services promptly transported him to the University of Louisville Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity.
