In March of 2021, the community of Murray, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of Sarah Elizabeth Townsend, a 21-year-old White female and a student at Murray State University. Originally from Farmville, Virginia, she was studying pre-veterinary medicine and served as a residential advisor at the College Courts Apartments. Her life was abruptly cut short, leading to a swift investigation that would soon uncover a heartbreaking story of friendship betrayed.
