In the summer of 1977, the community of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, was shaken by the tragic death of one of its own. Curtis John Ramsdell, a 45-year-old White / Caucasian male, was a dedicated police officer with 14 years of service to the Columbia Heights Police Department. His life was cut short on July 30, 1977, during what began as a routine arrest.
