Donn Allan Johnson, aged 62, tragically passed away on February 22, 2017, in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Born on May 16, 1954, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Donn was raised on the family farm on Sunrise Lake. He graduated from Lindstrom High School in 1972 and later obtained an architectural degree before returning to manage the family farm. Donn married Deborah in 1980, and together they raised two children, Shannon and Travis, while running the farm.
He was known for his love of the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.
The circumstances surrounding Donn's death were tragic. He was fatally shot during a dispute over lake access. The suspect in the case was Carl, a 44-year-old man from Lindstrom. Carl was arrested and charged with murder following the incident. However, during the trial, Carl was acquitted of the charges. The court found that there was insufficient evidence to convict him of the crime.
