Ryan Bialke, a 37-year-old officer with the Red Lake Tribal Police Department, tragically lost his life on July 27, 2021, in Redby, Minnesota. Bialke, who had served with the department for six years, was responding to a welfare check at the home of David Brian Donnell. Donnell, who was reported to be armed and suicidal, opened fire on Bialke and four other officers as they attempted to take him into custody.
