A dispute between two drivers that began near St. Cloud, Minnesota, escalated over a stretch of more than 40 miles, tragically ending in the death of 61-year-old William Floyd Haire on a Sunday afternoon. The white male from Buffalo, Minnesota, was involved in a prolonged altercation with another motorist on April 17, 2022. The conflict reached its fatal climax in the vicinity of County Road 30 and Garland Lane in Maple Grove, when a shot was fired from the other vehicle.
