On a tragic day in Salina, Kansas, the lives of two young people were cut short. On September 26, 2008, 22-year-old Taryn Kay Dechant, a female, and Earnest J. Jones Jr., also 22, were discovered deceased at a residence located at 611 S. Second Street. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
