On a cold December morning in 1995, the life of 24-year-old Caucasian female, Gina Cyphers, was brutally cut short in her Salina, Kansas home. The day, December 28th, began like any other for the young mother. She dropped off her 15-month-old son at the "Morning Out for Mom's" daycare program at the First Methodist Church around 9:00 a.m. She was expected to return to pick him up at 11:30 a.m., but she never arrived.
