In a quiet, rural home in Mound Valley, Kansas, a grim discovery was made on October 3, 2022. Leanda Pound, a 43-year-old Caucasian female, was found deceased alongside her companion, 39-year-old Jason M. Bakken. A friend who had gone to check on the couple at their residence at 693 16000 Rd. stumbled upon the tragic scene and immediately alerted the Labette County Sheriff's Office.
