Daymond Chicas, a 24-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was fatally shot on June 11, 2018. The incident occurred on the 300 block of 50th Street, NE. According to reports, Chicas was at a public pool when two juveniles stole his cell phone. Chicas and a witness chased the juveniles, leading them to encounter Bernard McKinney and an unidentified man. The unidentified man allegedly shot Chicas, who later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital on June 12.
