Death by Force

On April 28, 2020, D’Andre Mickle, a 22-year-old resident of Northwest, Washington, DC, was fatally shot in an incident that occurred at approximately 11:11 am in the 1800 block of 24th Street, Northeast. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Mickle had forcibly entered a residence and was confronted by an armed individual. An altercation ensued, during which Mickle was shot and killed. The incident was later classified as a justifiable homicide.
