In the spring of 2020, a violent encounter in a Northeast Washington, D.C. apartment building brought an end to the life of 22-year-old D’Andre Mickle. On the morning of April 28th, events unfolded inside the Parkway Plaza Apartments on 24th Street NE that would leave Mickle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
