In the late hours of a Monday in Washington, D.C., the life of Stanley Maurice Dawkins, a 38-year-old man, was tragically cut short. On May 4, 2020, in the Truxton Circle neighborhood, Dawkins was found by officers from the Metropolitan Police Department on the 100 block of Q Street, Northwest, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported him to a local hospital.
