In the early evening hours of a Monday in Washington, D.C., the life of Carlos Singleton, a 47-year-old man, was tragically cut short. On June 7, 2021, at approximately 9:20 pm, the sound of gunshots pierced the night in the 6200 block of Banks Place, Northeast, a residential area near the city's border with Prince George's County. When officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Singleton suffering from gunshot wounds.
