Glen Robins, a 29-year-old White male, tragically lost his life on the night of April 25, 2015, in Spanish Springs, Nevada. The events of that fatal evening unfolded around 11:30 p.m. on McLemore Court when a disturbance broke out. The commotion drew the attention of residents of a nearby home, a man in his late fifties and his elderly father, who stepped outside to investigate the noise.
Once outside, they were confronted by Glen Robins and his 19-year-old brother, Ryan Robins. The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The homeowners sustained injuries during the confrontation. In response to the escalating violence, the son of the elderly resident, fearing for his and his father's lives, retrieved a firearm and shot both Glen and Ryan Robins. Glen Robins died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Following the incident, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office launched an extensive investigation into the double fatality. After a thorough review of the evidence and the circumstances surrounding the altercation, the Washoe County District Attorney's Office determined that the shooter had acted in self-defense. The deaths of Glen and Ryan Robins were officially ruled as a justifiable homicide. Consequently, no arrests were made, and no criminal charges were filed in connection with the shooting. The investigation concluded that the homeowner's actions were a direct response to a perceived imminent threat to his and his father's safety.
