In the summer of 2018, the life of Cheri Louise Anaya, a 32-year-old Black/African American woman from Bakersfield, California, came to a tragic end in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the morning of July 14, her two young children, both under the age of 10, made a devastating discovery in the southeast Las Vegas Valley home of their father and her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Gerard Caggiano. They found their mother unresponsive in a bedroom and placed a call to 911.
