In the summer of 2021, a tragedy unfolded in a Las Vegas apartment complex, ending the life of 38-year-old Sarah Sentongo. On the evening of July 21, police received a report of a shooting at a residence on West Serene Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a grim scene that would later be described by investigators as a murder-suicide.
Inside the apartment, authorities discovered that Sarah Sentongo had been shot multiple times.
She was rushed to University Medical Center in critical condition, but tragically succumbed to her injuries a few hours later. The Clark County coroner's office would later rule her death a homicide. The investigation into the shooting pointed to a domestic dispute that had escalated to a fatal confrontation.
The suspect in her death was identified as her 50-year-old husband, Roy Sentongo. Investigators believe that following an argument, Roy shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. His death was ruled a suicide. The incident left the community in shock and brought a sudden and violent end to the life of Sarah Sentongo.
