On Halloween morning, October 31, 2021, a 22-year-old Hispanic female named Graciela Gomez was killed in a drive-by shooting at a house party in east Las Vegas. The party, located in a residence on the 200 block of Beesley Drive, had been advertised on social media, causing it to become uncontrollably large. Due to the swelling number of attendees, the party's host began to pat down guests for safety.
