In the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver on the afternoon of November 22, 1973, a resident made a grim discovery in an alley near East 23rd Avenue and Ash Street: the body of a young man. The victim was later identified as 22-year-old Larry Biglow, a Black male who worked at May D&F. An investigation by the Denver Police Department determined that Biglow had been brutally beaten and shot to death.
Known to his friends by the nickname 'Bingo,' Larry Biglow was originally from Oklahoma.
The motive for his murder and the circumstances leading to the violent encounter in the alley remain unknown. Decades have passed since his death, but the case has grown cold.
To this day, no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide of Larry Biglow, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The Denver Police Department's Cold Case Unit continues to seek information from the public that might lead to a breakthrough in this long-unsolved murder.
