On the evening of October 8, 1975, Leobardo Miranda, a 37-year-old male, was at the New Mexico Bar on the 2200 block of Larimer Street in Denver, Colorado. While at the establishment, an altercation broke out between Miranda and other patrons of the bar. The disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation.
