In the early hours of March 30, 2001, Jason Auguillard, a 24-year-old White male, was driving in Denver, Colorado, after leaving a local bar and grill with friends. As he navigated the area of Leetsdale Drive and South Monaco Parkway, an unknown individual in another vehicle traveling in the same direction opened fire.
A nearby Denver Police patrol officer heard the gunshots and saw Auguillard's car come to a stop at Leetsdale and South Niagara Street.
An ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Tragically, Jason Auguillard succumbed to his injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The Denver Police Department is investigating the homicide, which remains an unsolved cold case. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing as they seek information that may lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for his death.
