On May 8, 2005, Detective Donald "Donnie" Young, a 43-year-old officer with the Denver Police Department, was fatally shot while working an off-duty security job at the Salon Ocampo Hall in Denver, Colorado. The incident occurred during an invitation-only baptismal party being held at the hall.
