On a summer day in Bennett, Colorado, the lives of a young mother and her child were tragically cut short. Amy LeeAnn Hill-McDaniel, a 29-year-old female, was killed by gunshot on July 24, 2008. In the same violent act, her 3-year-old daughter, Bailey McDaniel, was also killed. The two were found together, victims of a sudden and brutal end to their lives.
