On a summer day in Bennett, Colorado, the lives of a young mother and her child were tragically cut short. Amy LeeAnn Hill-McDaniel, a 29-year-old female, was killed by gunshot on July 24, 2008. In the same violent act, her 3-year-old daughter, Bailey McDaniel, was also killed. The two were found together, victims of a sudden and brutal end to their lives.
The person responsible for their deaths was identified as Eddie Davidson, who was known by the moniker 'Spam King.'
Davidson was reportedly romantically involved with Amy Hill-McDaniel. After fatally shooting both Amy and her young daughter, Bailey, Davidson took his own life.
Authorities investigating the horrific events concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide. Davidson, the sole suspect in the killings of Amy and Bailey, was deceased at the scene, and therefore no arrests were made in connection with their deaths. The community was left to mourn the loss of a mother and her child, whose lives were taken in an act of violence that also claimed the life of the perpetrator.
