In the early morning hours of a cold Sunday in Denver, Colorado, on January 28, 2018, the life of 26-year-old Kendrick Shaw was tragically cut short. A gathering at a local community event center on Leetsdale Drive and South Monaco Parkway had drawn a crowd, and as people were leaving around 4 a.m., a verbal altercation broke out in the parking lot.
