In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Denver, Colorado, a 54-year-old attorney named Wesley Rosander was at work when he received an alert that his truck was being stolen. Having been the victim of vehicle theft once before, Rosander had installed a tracking device on his pickup. Determined to keep an eye on his property until police could intervene, he made the fateful decision to follow the thieves, utilizing a hotel shuttle van to pursue them.
