In the early evening of May 13, 2022, Va-Jon Donovan Lewis, a 20-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Aurora, Colorado. The incident that claimed his life unfolded in the parking lot of a strip mall located at 15270 East 6th Avenue. Another young man, 19-year-old Isaac Lamar Smith Jr., was also killed in the shooting.
