After high school, he worked as a welder and in hard rock mining for a decade before discovering a passion for farming and ranching, which became his occupation at the time of his death. He was a father to six children: Jeremiah, Ariana, Moises, Joel, Emiliano, and Valeena.
Known by friends and family as a generous and loyal man who enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and hunting, his life was unexpectedly cut short by an act of gun violence.
