On a snowy evening in Las Vegas, New Mexico, a violent encounter on January 18, 2021, cut short the life of 27-year-old Leroy Phillip Salazar. That night, police responded to a call of shots fired at Salazar's home in the 2200 block of Collins Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered that Salazar had been shot.
