On October 22, 2022, in Española, New Mexico, Juan Antonio Luis Martinez was fatally shot during an attempted vehicle transaction. Around 1:30 a.m. on Calle Borrego, Martinez met with 39-year-old Fabian Archuleta, known as 'Stomper,' who was attempting to sell a red Mustang reported stolen from Albuquerque. During the encounter, Archuleta shot Martinez, resulting in his death.
