On October 27, 2022, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car fire on the Pajarito Mesa near the intersection of James Cook Drive and Pajarito Road SW in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Upon arrival, deputies found an SUV fully engulfed in flames in a ditch bank, which was subsequently extinguished by Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue. Further investigation revealed a deceased male near the burning vehicle.
