In the spring of 2022, the life of a Hispanic/Latino male teenager, Angel Soto-Gallardo, was tragically cut short in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 16-year-old was found in the street on May 11, 2022, in the 800 block of Cardenas Drive SE. Albuquerque police officers were dispatched to the location after a gunshot detection system alerted them to potential gunfire in the area.
