On September 22, 1980, George E. Hagelstein, a 40-year-old employee of Sammy White's Brighton Bowl in the Brighton section of Boston, Massachusetts, lost his life in a brutal and tragic incident. Hagelstein was one of four victims found in the mechanics' room at the rear of the bowling alley. The other victims were Donald Doroni, Brian Cobe, and David Cobe, all of whom were also employees of the bowling alley.
