On a Sunday in Milton, Massachusetts, 29-year-old White/Caucasian male, Robert P. Dana, a Metropolitan Police Officer, was shot and killed. The date was March 25, 1984. Officer Dana had initiated a traffic stop on the Blue Hills Parkway after observing a stolen television in the back of a vehicle. A Milton police officer arrived to provide assistance and was questioning the driver while Officer Dana went back to his patrol car to contact dispatch.
