In the light of a spring afternoon on May 21, 2014, the life of Shannon Cannon Richardson, a 25-year-old Black male from Boston, was abruptly cut short. While walking down Dudley Street in the Dorchester neighborhood, what began as an ordinary day took a tragic turn. Richardson became aware of a man following him, a realization that prompted him to run for his life. Despite his efforts to escape, several gunshots rang out, and Richardson was struck multiple times in the back.
