In the early hours of Sunday, September 27, 2020, the life of Keenan Ritter, a 28-year-old Black man from Dorchester, was tragically cut short. Boston police officers responded to a call for a person shot on Hubbardston Road in the Savin Hill neighborhood of Dorchester at approximately 1:15 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ritter unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Keenan Ritter was pronounced dead at the scene.
