On a cold January evening in 2016, the life of 16-year-old Cristofer Perez de la Cruz was tragically cut short in the city of Boston. The young man, of Hispanic descent, was fatally shot on the evening of January 10th in the vicinity of 278 East Street in the Dorchester neighborhood. Responding to a call for a person shot, Boston Police officers discovered the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
