In the pre-dawn hours of May 22, 2016, a routine traffic stop on a residential street in Auburn, Massachusetts, turned deadly for a dedicated police officer. Ronald Tarentino Jr., a 42-year-old White male, was shot and killed after pulling over a vehicle on Rochdale Street. As he approached the car, an occupant opened fire, striking him multiple times.
