In the early morning hours of October 7, 2018, the life of Karim Blount, a 42-year-old Black / African American man from Boston, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Boston Police officers were called to 18 Mildred Avenue in the Mattapan neighborhood, where they discovered Blount suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
