In the early morning hours of October 7, 2018, the life of Karim Blount, a 42-year-old Black / African American man from Boston, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Boston Police officers were called to 18 Mildred Avenue in the Mattapan neighborhood, where they discovered Blount suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

investigation into Blount's death began immediately, with law enforcement appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification of those responsible. As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
