On a summer evening in Springfield, Massachusetts, the life of a young Black man, Kahsir Jahsay Thompson, aged 22, was tragically cut short. On July 6, 2019, Springfield Police responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on Euclid Avenue. He was rushed to Baystate Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
