In the late hours of a Friday night, on September 4, 2020, the life of 31-year-old Aaron Marshall Thomas II, a Black male from Springfield, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded on Cortland Street, where he was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
