In the early morning hours of May 29, 2021, a sequence of events unfolded in Springfield, Massachusetts, that would tragically end the life of 37-year-old Abushante Jennings, a Black/African American male. At approximately 4:10 a.m., Springfield Police responded to a call of shots fired on Lionel Benoit Road.
