On May 20, 2022, a 31-year-old woman named Yajaira Mitchell, also known by her maiden name Yajaira Suarez, was found dead in her Lynn, Massachusetts, home. Responding to reports of a shooting at the Mudge Street residence around 1:20 p.m., police discovered Yajaira and her 46-year-old husband, Jessie Mitchell, both deceased from gunshot wounds. Investigators determined that Jessie Mitchell had fatally shot his wife before taking his own life in what was ruled an apparent murder-suicide.
