In the early morning hours of October 23, 2022, the life of 33-year-old Black / African American female Jasmine Burrell was tragically cut short in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. Just before 5 a.m. on Fairlawn Avenue, as she was walking to her car in front of her apartment, she was shot. Boston police officers responded to a report of a person shot and found Ms. Burrell at the scene. Emergency medical services pronounced her dead at the location.
