A sense of holiday cheer was shattered on December 11, 2012, when Steven Matthew Forsyth, a 45-year-old White / Caucasian male, was tragically killed in a shooting at the Clackamas Town Center in Happy Valley, Oregon. He was one of two victims who lost their lives that day in a sudden and random act of violence that unfolded in the busy shopping mall.
The perpetrator of the attack was a 22-year-old gunman who opened fire on unsuspecting shoppers with a stolen rifle.

Following the shooting rampage, the suspect was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
