On a Wednesday evening in Springfield, Oregon, the life of 53-year-old David Paul Crofut, a Caucasian male, was cut short following a roadside confrontation. The events of January 29, 2014, began with a minor traffic accident, a simple fender-bender, that would quickly escalate into a fatal encounter.
