On the evening of April 10, 2015, in a Southeast Portland apartment, a violent encounter left two people dead and one critically injured. Dat Gary Pham, a 33-year-old man of South East Asian descent, was fatally shot in what police would later describe as a double homicide connected to the medical marijuana industry.
