In the early morning hours of January 10, 2017, a call reporting an accidental shooting broke the quiet in La Pine, Oregon. At approximately 3:47 a.m., deputies from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene to find James Glenn Overby, a 66-year-old male, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate medical attention he received, Overby succumbed to his injuries.
