On Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 4:21 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau responded to a report of a shooting in the 8400 block of North Brandon Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Upon arrival, officers found 44-year-old Sean Edward Garner deceased at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that Garner died as a result of a gunshot wound, ruling his death a homicide.
